1. Unveiling a Modern Innovation Ecosystem

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif formally inaugurated the Daanish IT Park (National Technology Park) in Islamabad, marking a major milestone in Pakistan’s drive toward digital transformation and economic progress.

  • Unified Digital Platform: The state-of-the-art facility brings incubation centers, innovation hubs, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), startups, and industry leaders together under one roof.

  • Project Revival: Highlighting the revival of the project the foundation of which was initially laid during 2017–18 the Prime Minister commended the Ministry of IT for converting a stalled initiative into a thriving national tech hub.

  • Strategic Rebranding: Formally renamed the Daanish IT Park, the facility honors the vision of the Daanish educational initiative, which provides quality education and technological opportunities to talented students from underprivileged backgrounds.

2. Global Partnerships and Open Management Framework

To ensure world-class operations, the government is adopting an internationally benchmarked operational strategy:

  • Transparent Global Bidding: The Prime Minister directed the IT Ministry to conduct open, transparent bidding to invite leading domestic and international tech enterprises to manage and scale the facility independently.

  • Bilateral Tech Collaboration: Acknowledging key international support, the ceremony highlighted active cooperation with the Republic of Korea through KOICA and the Ministry of Science and IT to expand development partnerships in AI, tech infrastructure, and global digital equity.

  • Cross-Sectoral Impact: Once fully operational, the Daanish IT Park model will be replicated across all four provinces to accelerate tech integration across key sectors, including agriculture, mining, and industrial manufacturing.
