Millions of internet users across Pakistan have been facing slow speeds, weak signals, and frustrating connection drops. To address these growing complaints, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) gave a clear timeline during a Senate committee meeting.
The October Deadline: PTA Chairman Hafizur Rehman assured lawmakers that countrywide internet and cellular service problems will be fixed and stabilized.
Why the Disruptions Happened: Officials explained that major network upgrades such as combining large telecom networks and preparing the infrastructure for upcoming 5G services have temporarily affected internet performance. Power outages and field challenges have also caused local towers to fail.
What Users Expect: With this deadline now reached, everyday consumers, students, and remote workers are looking forward to faster speeds and reliable daily connectivity.
